Fully restored stone 17th century farmhouse in quiet village in the Lozere, minutes from Gorges du Tarn swimming, peaceful, pastoral holiday.
This stone farmhouse is exquisitely decorated and furnished.
It has a large stone fireplace, flagstone terrace with a view over the valley, and living/dining room with a cathedral ceiling.
There are 4 bedrooms, three with doubles and one with four single beds, two full bathrooms (each with a shower, not bath).
There is a clothes washer and dryer, full kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, and tv, cd and video player (French and UK systems only),
Soulages is a quiet village in the Lozere. It is 10 minutes' drive from the A75/E11 highway between Paris and Beziers, just 15 minutes from the new bridge over Millau, the largest bridge in the world. Millau, Mende and Rodez are all under an hour away, and the market towns of La Canourge and Severac le Chateau are both 15 minutes away. The Gorges du Tarn is minutes away, and offers wonderful river swimming, rafting and fishing. It is under two hours' drive to the Mediterranean beaches and to Montpellier. Soulages is on the G7, a hiking trail through southwestern France.

Out and About
Gorges du Tarn, a spectacular canyon with a river at the bottom for swimming, fishing and boating; medieval towns such as St Enimie and La Malene, cheesemaker in Soulages, La Canourgue with its Tuesday morning artisan food market, day trips to Mediterranean beaches, Pezenas, Montpellier. The Lozere is sheep country, it is unspoiled and authentic. It is in Languedoc Roissillon, southwestern France, a major wine and cheese making area. In the village there are sheep, cows, poultry - a wonderful way for children to discover nature and farming.
