This is a modern villa, mostly on one level, with just one bedroom on the first floor. The front door leads into a hallway, from which an archway on the left leads into a generous open plan space comprising living and dining area, and kitchen. The living area has a wood burner for winter heating, antique French furniture, comfortable sofa (sofabed), dining table with eight chairs, TV (normal French channels only) and DVD player. The modern fitted kitchen is fully equipped with gas/electric hob, electric oven, microwave oven, dishwasher and large (American) fridge and freezer. Off the sitting area there is a bathroom, with bath, shower, WC, plus a utility room with washing machine. Stairs from this area lead up to a twin bedroom with a view over the pool and garden. There is also a bathroom with bath, double wash hand basin, shower and separate WC.

Out and About

Out the green gates and you are 8kms from the sea (the owners have found a nifty route through the vines and will leave you the map!) There is, of course, a Cave Co-operative in the village selling the locally produced wine. Golf and horse-riding are available nearby. Inland at 40 minutes drive is the magnificent Lac du Salagou providing bathing, wind-surfing, fishing and excellent hilly walks. The house is surrounded by vineyards and beautiful open countryside and many good walks and picnics can be had in the area. Other beaches are close by, ranging from a 7-mile long stretch of sand at Marseillan Plage to lively, cosmopolitan resorts like Cap d`Agde - where can also be found Europe`s largest naturist resort. The Herault River and thc Canal du Midi offer numerous opportunities for walking, swimming, fishing and boat trips. You are only 10 minutes by car from Beziers, a city with a turbulent past but now one of the jewels of the Midi.. You will be surrounded by countryside and waterways offering every opportunity for a get-away-from-it-all holiday of peace and relaxation, whilst being within easy driving distance of lively towns and cities offering everything from street markets to classical concerts.
